Guest Reviews

Below are some recent guest reviews. Please note the Moorings Hotel has been under new management since October 2009!

'We would recommend your hotel to anyone'

"Thank you for the very pleasant stay we had with you last week. We felt right at home in your generous "garden" room and were especially impressed with the service we received both the daily maintenance of the room and the generous and tasty breakfasts served each morning. At all times we were met with friendly helpfulness from all the staff and you went out of your way to accommodate our changing plans in every way. We would recommend your hotel to anyone travelling in the area - high standards and affordable price. Thank you!"

'Moorings Hotel - very pleasant and not very expensive'

"Moorings Hotel - very pleasant and not very expensive. Close to Sevenoaks Railway station - this hotel has good sized rooms, is not awfully expensive and is clean with friendly staff."

'Very Satisfied'

"I was greeted by by two very pleasant, polite, helpful and understanding young people one of whom showed me to my room. The room itself was clean, spacious and well appointed. English breakfast was great. Cereal and friut juice available as well. Set me off perfectly for the day. Everyone at the hotel was polite and attentive, great value for money."

"Under new management and they could not do enough for you....family are very pleasant, polite & friendly. We stayed end of Sept and they had been there about 3 weeks. Stayed in the outside rooms & it was clean. A little tired but they are doing a room at a time. Bedlinen, towels etc clean & fresh. Excellent breakfast and all 10 of us were happy."

"I found the staff very polite and accommodating. Whether it was due to it being my first visit I don't know but they volunteered to upgrade my room ('economy via late rooms') free of charge which was awfully decent of them. However, these rooms are in a seperate annex to the main hotel building so in the winter you'd need to wrap up just to go to the bar or for breakfast.

The room was well equipped but could have done with more time spent on cleaning! Be wary to take the shower head down before turning water on unless you like cold showers first thing in the morning! Would deffo stay there again - whether through late rooms or booking direct."

"The hotel was clean and the service very good. We booked a basic double room and the en suite was very compact, but clean. We were offered another room (it was not the room intended for us) but the bed was so comfortable we turned it down. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We investigated the upgrade before leaving and will definitely be returning. The hotel is ideally placed."

"There were no reviews, so I booked on spec due to convenience of hotel to wedding venue. Only on the day i was arriving did I find terrible reviews for this hotel - I thought my stay would be horrible. However - I must say that the hotel (now under new management) exceeded these expectations.

They arranged for Gluten & Dairy Free Breakfast for my wife, and no request was too big for them. Some areas could be cleaner, but they are working on this and renovating - It should be even better in the future!"
